Green Action Week Communications

Green Action Week is a global sustainable consumption campaign in which about 40 environmental and social justice organisations around the world hold a series of activities in October each year that illustrate the concept of Sharing Community. This year, for the first time,  Green Action Week is extending its reach and is being opened up to public participation.

The Local Wild Food Hub is a voluntary association with the mission of engaging people in getting to know, cultivate, and use the forgotten local indigenous and wild foods of the Cape.

Project Biome Website

Upon the launch of Project Biome, we crafted a captivating landing page where visitors can delve deeper into the project's details. This is to hold the space while we develop an effective communication strategy. The website uses powerful, spacious typography and captivating imagery, effectively conveying the primary objectives: the restoration of natural landscapes, the promotion of agroecology, and the revitalisation of human systems, all rooted in the profound wisdom of indigenous knowledge.


Izivunguvungu ‘Sudden Strong Winds’

Kader Williams and his team have shifted the winds for many underprivileged children. A place he comes from and knows too well. Through his commitment and love of the sea he changes perspectives and possibilities for these children.


Rethink the Stink Website

Rethink the Stink is an NPO and action group focused on responsible management of water and wastewater. Mycelium was briefed to create a simple website that shared an overview of who they are and their activities. The Rethink the Stink website uses clean and modern typography with big powerful images. The website also embeds their active and engaging Facebook group feed on a news page.


A Ripple Effect Video

What happens when you bring artists, scientists, city officials and aquatic ecosystems together? What unfolding ideas, discoveries or new images arise out of collective thought and action across different disciplines? This was the premise and provoking statement of the EITZ / SANOcean art meets science workshop and followed by this video from the event.

We might not understand what they’re saying, but just like us, other species speak or communicate with each other in their own “languages”. Meet scientists Tess Girdley and Simon Elwen, who are recording and studying how animals “speak”.


Renu-Karoo Website

Renu-Karoo provide plants, seeds and consulting services to those engaged in efforts to restore damaged Karoo veld. Their new website offers simple navigation to the extensive information they offer on a variety of indigenous plant species. It contains clean and clear text that is packed with keywords for good SEO. Beautiful images of their plants visually hold the space and share some of the magic of what they grow in their unique Karoo-based nursery.
