Green Action Week is a global sustainable consumption campaign in which about 40 environmental and social justice organisations around the world hold a series of activities in October each year that illustrate the concept of Sharing Community. This year, for the first time, Green Action Week is extending its reach and is being opened up to public participation.
Project Biome Website
Upon the launch of Project Biome, we crafted a captivating landing page where visitors can delve deeper into the project's details. This is to hold the space while we develop an effective communication strategy. The website uses powerful, spacious typography and captivating imagery, effectively conveying the primary objectives: the restoration of natural landscapes, the promotion of agroecology, and the revitalisation of human systems, all rooted in the profound wisdom of indigenous knowledge.
Rethink the Stink Website
Rethink the Stink is an NPO and action group focused on responsible management of water and wastewater. Mycelium was briefed to create a simple website that shared an overview of who they are and their activities. The Rethink the Stink website uses clean and modern typography with big powerful images. The website also embeds their active and engaging Facebook group feed on a news page.
Renu-Karoo Website
Renu-Karoo provide plants, seeds and consulting services to those engaged in efforts to restore damaged Karoo veld. Their new website offers simple navigation to the extensive information they offer on a variety of indigenous plant species. It contains clean and clear text that is packed with keywords for good SEO. Beautiful images of their plants visually hold the space and share some of the magic of what they grow in their unique Karoo-based nursery.
Stable Planet Alliance Advert
Created for Earth Overshoot Day, this print and social media advert shows a wistful, somewhat neglected child losing hold of balloons in a windswept world. The heart-shaped balloons suggest the values we hold towards stability and security, and what we are loosing - a stable society, climate and planet.
Urban Food Futures
Foodweb.city was developed over a 12 month period for the Urban Food Futures Programme. The programme aims to contribute to a transformation of existing urban food systems and provide concrete solutions for more liveable futures in urban and peri-urban habitats. Foodweb is the online platform designed to present the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) for the urban food systems research, analysis, implementation, advocacy and activism from the project’s primary research sites.

Anthology of Sustainable Consumption
This ‘Anthology of Sustainable Consumption’ presents a collection of viewpoints, experiences and case studies from both the Global North and South with the aim to illustrate the need for a transition to sustainable consumption and production. This compilation emphasizes the urgency with which we need to act to bring a better world for all into being.

Soil for Life Organic Home Food Gardening Course
This is the Soil for Life tutorial on how to grow healthy veggies right outside one's back door. This incredible course has been run for many years in communities around Cape Town, and has seen a multitude of backyards turned into abundant food gardens.
WWF videos on Groundwater
Since the drought in the Western Cape, groundwater has become a debated topic, and an interest in boreholes, springs and aquifers has grown. World Wildlife Fund South Africa (WWF-SA) commissioned Mycelium Media Colab to produce two educational videos that explore our underground water in Cape Town.
Farm to Fork
Farm to Fork is a short documentary episode that goes to Gugulethu and Ocean View in Cape Town, where we learn from two community led small-scale farming groups about the possibility of using food local production to build community resilience. This film is part of ten short documentaries that illustrate the flaws of the South African food system exposed through the COVID 19 pandemic.
