Created for Stable Planet Alliance (US) for Earth Overshoot Day, this print and social media advert shows a wistful, somewhat neglected child losing hold of balloons in a windswept world. The heart-shaped balloons suggest the values we hold towards stability and security, and what we are loosing – a stable society, climate and planet. A minimalist design approach hones in on the key message, while a subtle smoky city landscape sets the scene. The viewer’s eye is guided by the hierarchy of content, from the punch of red, to the large headline, and then body copy, allowing easy absorption of this critical call to action.
