The Local Wild Food Hub is a voluntary association with the mission of engaging people in getting to know, cultivate, and use the forgotten local indigenous and wild foods of the Cape. Situated at the Sustainability Institute, their objective is to reintegrate local wild foods back into our culinary heritage. They aim to preserve and share knowledge about local wild foods. They cultivate local wild foods in their food garden at the Sustainability Institute and prepare local indigenous foods for the children in their care and for the Green Café.
